This area of the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia is abundant with wildlife and beautiful golf courses, and the rivers and creek are full with copious amounts of fish. The cabin is the perfect romantic getaway and overlooks the Blue Ridge Parkway and has a stocked mountain fishing pond in front. There are many outdoor activities to be had in the area. The well-known Hillsville Flea Market and gun show are within easy reach just a few miles away and there are also plenty of wineries. There is a local restaurant and bar less than a mile from the cabins that features live music at the weekend. The Blue Ridge Music Center is at milepost 212, Meadows of Dan and the famous Nancy's Candy Shoppe at approx milepost 180, and Chateau Morrisette Winery at milepost 174. Lots of beautiful sights and views are along the Blue Ridge Parkway.

There are nearby creeks and rivers for the avid fisherman and the Dan River is just 20 minutes way for those wishing to do some whitewater kayaking.Travel to nearby Buffalo Mountain for a breathtaking piedmont view hike or visit the New River Trail and enjoy mountain biking on a flat, well-groomed surface, or sit on the covered front porch that overlooks the well-stocked pond and simply listen to the peace and quiet. There are also many other activities such as boating, horseback riding, bird watching and wildlife viewing. There are many walking and hiking trails together with plenty of scenic drives in the area.
