Hot Springs

Just as its name suggests, Hot Springs, Virginia is home to natural mineral springs that flow down from the Allegheny Mountains. Known for their therapeutic qualities, even Thomas Jefferson was not immune to the relaxing charm of these inviting waters. The town itself is not without its own appeal. The quaint village buildings have stayed the same for the last 150 years and features a post office, market, and apothecary. The summer months draw in crowds looking to get fresh produce grown in the area, locally made crafts, and artisanal goods at the Farmer’s Market. Hot Springs is also a hub for world-class music. The Garth Newel Music Center, with a long-standing tradition in quality music in a beautiful natural setting, showcases chamber music, jazz, and blues.
