Nestled in the beautiful wilderness of Minnesota in an off-grid homestead, getting in touch with nature is a must when staying at this unique glamping site. From canoeing in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness that is just minutes down the road, to hiking the nearby trails, to taking in the surrounding beauty, guests will be able to explore the great outdoors from dawn until dusk. Guests can spend the day exploring Grand Portage State Park and take the time to marvel at the High Falls plummeting into the Pigeon River. Glampers can also make their way to Grand Marais Harbor before heading into the heart of Grand Marais to grab a bite to eat. There is an onsite beeswax candle workshop for a tour, which gives glampers insight on the art of candle making. If guests want to experience the lifestyle of those who dedicate their lives to the care and training of traditional sled dogs, they can help the hosts with daily chores, including dog feeding, before taking a dog sledding tour through the rugged terrain or learning how to mush which is for an additional fee. Speak to host for more details.
