There are many fun activities for glampers to enjoy right from the property, one of which is fossil hunting. The White River Badlands are well-known for their abundance of fossils, which have been preserved in the ash of ancient volcanoes. Guests will get to keep any finds from this exciting and fascinating experience. The host also offers horseback riding and, on a typical trail ride, glampers will trek to the 11,000-year-old Paleo Indian Dig site where, on a clear day, they'll be able to see Harney Peak, 120 miles away in the Black Hills.

In addition to this, guests at the property will have the opportunity to join in on some of the everyday tasks of the ranch, like fixing fences, haying, and calving. Art enthusiasts will have the chance to take part in one of the property's art classes. The ranch has been blessed with the beautiful and unique scenery of northwest Nebraska and, for this reason, artists can find daily inspiration.

Guests can enjoy any of these activities, for an additional fee, but one pastime that costs nothing is stargazing. The property is a fantastic place to be during meteor showers, which are usually best in July and August. Since there is no light or air pollution in this area, glampers get the same experience during full moons. It is so bright that they can navigate on a moonlit walk while enjoying the fresh night air.

Less than 20 miles from the property, guests can pay a visit to Fort Robinson State Park, where they'll be able to go hiking, biking, and fishing. There is even a swimming beach for cooling off and relaxing during hot weather. Just over an hour's drive from the ranch is the city of Hot Springs, which was founded as a frontier health spa to capitalize on springs of warm mineral waters rising in Fall River Canyon. It's popular with visitors who wish to take a dip in Evans Plunge, a huge indoor pool built over the springs. For generations, the 87-degree water of Evans Plunge has invited visitors for rejuvenation, refreshment, relaxation, and recreation.

Golfing enthusiasts can get their fix close to the property, at the Legend Buttes Golf Course, where they'll find nine holes and picturesque views. The White River flows through the course and the scenic surroundings offer tree-lined fairways, wildflowers, prairie grasses, and sometimes wildlife. A magnificent view of the Red Cloud Buttes can be seen from the first hole and, from time to time, Long Horn Cattle can be seen at the edge of the course.

In the town of Crawford, guests will find antique stores, fine restaurants, and a history museum. Further afield, in Chadron, which is a 45-minute drive, there are several more museums (the Museum of the Fur Trade, the High Plains Heritage Center, and the Dawes County Museum), along with a wider selection of shops and eateries. In Chadron, there is also a movie theater and a large superstore.
