This rustic off-grid cabin, perched on a verdant bluff, is surrounded by magical woodlands in Athens, Ohio, near the Wayne National Forest. A quarter-mile walk through the forest will lead guests to the cabin, where they’ll experience a true outdoor getaway with the comfort of a bed to come home to after exploring the area. The cabin rental accommodates two glampers on the comfy double bed, while a small child can be accommodated on the sofa. Linens are kindly provided.

With no electricity, this off-the-grid getaway will certainly be an adventure. In the kitchenette, guests will find a propane two-burner, a fridge, and cooking utensils to prepare meals, which can be shared in the living area. There is a toilet and sink available inside, and an outdoor solar shower for a unique experience,

Spending time on the deck, which overlooks the natural beauty Ohio has to offer, is a great place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine. There are plenty of winding trails throughout the surrounding 20 acres of woodland for guests to enjoy hiking.

This off-the-grid cabin rental sprawled on 20 acres of private land offers linen and towels for a comfortable stay. Completely off-grid, this cabin has 12-volt electricity, limited cell service, and an outhouse is available as the bathroom facilities. Cold water is available from the rain barrels, as well five gallons of drinking water. The "bag shower" outdoors is a refreshing way to rinse off, and the wood stove will keep guests warm throughout the chilly months.

Arriving in the light would be helpful. Bring a flashlight (not your phone).
