Kyle

Kyle, South Dakota is located near North America’s “Pole of Inaccessibility”, the point in the continent that is furthest from its coastline, which contributes to its semi-arid climate. Over the millennia the dry winds of this empty land have sculpted out the bizarre rock formations of the Badlands National Park, creating an otherworldly landscape of mesas, buttes, hoodoos, and polychromatic rock strata, that will enchant nature loving glampers with its eerie beauty. Hikers can explore the region via a network of hiking trails, while riders can go on horseback thanks to tours conducted by local companies. Helicopter tours and driving routes are also available. Kyle is located on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation for those interested in the Lakota history of the area.
