Mesa

Mesa is named for the landscape it resides in, which is a dusty, desert area that has canyons and cliffs erupting into the sky. It is somewhere that has a rich historical significance, which is why many people like exploring nature here, as it’s unlike any place they’ve been before. The peach fields of Palisade are nearby, where you can go on light walks as you catch sight of the rolling land, and the iconic Grand Mesa National Forest has an array of flat top mountains to hike across. Here, you can also find your own way through the forests if you wanted to, rather than having to follow one of the many designated trails. The famous Colorado National Monument is a short drive away, where hiking trails take you around a national treasure.
