In warmer months, guests can go kayaking and canoeing, boating, or swimming in Lake Cascade. Lake Cascade State Park sits at an elevation of nearly 5,000 feet and offers over 50 acres of trails. The park's plentiful lakes provide fantastic fishing for rainbow trout, salmon, and bass. Adventurous guests can even try their hand at whitewater rafting on the famed Payette River or go zip-lining through the surrounding forest. The area offers excellent hiking and mountain biking trails that wind through the mountains providing stunning scenery and nature watching.
During winter, glampers can enjoy a variety of snow sports and activities such as skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and ice skating. The snowy landscape also makes for a picturesque backdrop for staying inside by the fireplace with a good book or glass of wine. Guests visiting near the end of January can attend the McCall Winter Carnival, which includes snow sculptures, parades, live music, comedy, and dog sledding.
Guests seeking a restorative and relaxing activity can head to Gold Fork Hot Springs, where they'll find six rejuvenating swimming pools created by natural rock formations. There, guests can indulge in local cuisine, browse shops and boutiques for a unique souvenir, or visit a spa for a massage or beauty treatment.
