This gorgeous, owner-made, fully furnished yurt has mountain views, spectacular sunsets, and stargazing outside by the firepit or inside through the- 5' clear dome. A great night's sleep is ahead snuggled under the puffy down comforter on the comfy queen bed. There is a sofa sleeper to accommodate up to 4 guests in beds and floor space for 2 more (bring linens/sleeping bags for the floor sleepers). Bedding/linen is provided for the beds. In the kitchen area, there is a small fridge (with separate freezer compartment), microwave, a variety of coffee/tea/cocoa flavors & treats (popcorn, oatmeal packets), along with some paper products available for use.

The yurt is fully insulated (walls and floor) and guests will stay cozy warm by the wood-burning stove (be sure to read the instruction/info book on the table). In summer months, there is a small window mounted AC to take the edge off until the cool mountain breeze takes over in the early evening. There is also a TV with DVDs, games, a table, padded carpet, and even a tile entryway! Just outside the Yurt, there is a picnic table and fire pit. All firewood and roasting sticks are provided for guests to use. For smaller humans, there is a trampoline to get the wiggles out or for amazing sunset photos.

Note: No running water or shower. Plenty of fresh, pure well water is provided for drinking. Clean, cute (non-smelly) composting outhouse is just steps from the Yurt. Hosts keep the Yurt pet free to make sure all can come and enjoy!

This yurt is located in Pocatello, Idaho, and it overlooks the historic Caribou Ski Area, complete with breathtaking views of the Idaho landscape. Go skiing and snowboarding at Pebble Creek Ski resort (short 30 min drive to the parking lot), or snowshoe/AT ski right from the yurt in the winter months. Spring to Fall brings fantastic hiking and biking (both mountain or road) right from the yurt, or head 20 minutes to amazing trails in the City Creek area (Check out Alltrails or Trailforks for the miles of sweet single-track fun close by!) Explore historic downtown Pocatello and all of its charm or head to the nearby Fort Hall replica, or Zoo Idaho, Ross Park pool, Fort Hall Casino, or the famous Lava Hot Springs (a beautiful 45 min drive away). Oh, and don't forget the fun Museum of Clean, the Natural History Museum, or My World Discovery museum if the weather isnt great for outdoor recreation. The property's closest airport is Pocatello Regional Airport, about twelve miles west of the location.

On location, there are plenty of trails for a variety of activities, which include, but aren't limited to, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing (we have some you can rent for a small fee), and sledding. Pebble Creek Ski area is only 30 minutes away. Portneuf Wellness Center has a large water area for SUP, beach front or other water activities. The Snake River, American Falls Reservoir, Lava Hot Springs and so much more are all within a 45 minute drive of the Yurt. Head into historic downtown Portello, rich with history from the 1850's American gold rush and railroad days. Tons of antique and consignment shops along with live music and Farmer's Market (seasonal). The Museum of Clean, the Natural History Museum and My World Discovery Museum are close by with the famous Potato Museum in Blackfoot, Idaho only 25 minutes away. There is so much more! Parks, ZooIdaho, sport/lead climbing, swimming at Ross Park, just to name a few more.
