Along the banks of the North Fork Flathead River, which stretches for a total of 150 miles through British Columbia and Montana, there are endless spots for swimming and fishing. Further upriver, near the Canadian border, there are also some excellent areas for kayaking and rafting, the perfect leisurely way to experience this tranquil current. Fishing and kayaking are also possible on Kintla Lake, which is free from motorized vessels due to a Montana law that aims to keep this body of water as blissful as possible. Guests are highly encouraged to take hiking boots for this trip, as within Glacier National Park, there are almost limitless treks that they can tackle during their stay. Some hug the shorelines of lakes like Bowman and Quartz, while others scale to the top of peaks such as Hornet Mountain. In this North Fork region of Glacier National Park, cross-country skiing is also possible and is a great way to discover more of this incredible region during the frostier months.
