This well-appointed fishing getaway is located at the main lodge of a riverside resort near Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest, Montana, and can provide two guests with an all-inclusive getaway experience centered around fly fishing on some of the most rewarding rivers for catching trout in all of the West. It consists of one bedroom and one private bathroom. The bedroom is furnished with one king-size bed flanked by nightstands with bedside lamps, all surrounded by a generous array of windows through which guests can enjoy views of the Big Hole River. In the bathroom, guests will find a toilet, a sink, and a shower. Linens and towels are provided.
In the lodge, guests will also enjoy shared access to a great room with a lounge area and a dining room with wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling windows providing panoramic views of the Big Hole River. Here, guests will enjoy a hearty, healthy breakfast and dinner prepared by a professional chef. Lunch will be served on-location at guests' fishing destinations.
There are packages for this accommodation which include five days of guided angling, replete with all necessary tackle and equipment, all meals and beverages, an experienced guide, and transportation to and from Bert Mooney Airport in Butte, Montana. Guided horseback riding, hiking, and nature tours are available from the resort as well, and guests can pursue a variety of self-guided adventures in the surrounding Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest. Guests should inquire with the hosts in relation to booking guides, which are necessary to confirm bookings at most times of the year.
At the main lodge of the resort, guests will enjoy shared access to a great room and a dining room. In the great room, guests will find a lounge area with three sofas set beneath high ceilings with a sizable skylight and walls with large windows, bathing the interior with natural light and providing a sense of connection to its natural surroundings.
The dining room features a wall full of floor-to-ceiling windows providing panoramic views of the Big Hole River. Here, guests will enjoy breakfast and dinner, which are prepared by an experienced resident chef with healthy ingredients that can be tailored to guests' dietary needs.

Originating in the Pintlars, Pioneer, and Bitterroot Mountains, the river runs unimpeded for 125 miles, winding through alpine meadows, canyon walls, and cottonwood bottoms as it makes its journey toward its confluence with the Beaverhead River, which, together, form the Jefferson River. Along the way, the river passes through a wide range of fishing conditions, including pocket waters, riffles, pools, shallow water edges, and deep runs with undercut banks.
Within a two-hour radius of the resort, guests can visit a variety of other rivers with areas of blue ribbon fishing waters, including the Beaverhead River, the Wise River, Rock Creek, the Jefferson River, the Missouri River, the Ruby River, the Red Rock River, the Madison River, and the Yellowstone River, all of which are possible fishing destinations that guests can visit with the resort's guides.
However, there is more to the area than the world-class fishing rivers for which it is renowned. To the north and the south, guests will find sections of Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest, which encompasses three million acres of rugged mountains, sagebrush, and grass-covered rangeland, and forests filled with ponderosa pines, firs, spruces, and junipers, which are laced with 1,500 miles of hiking trails and 250 miles of groomed snowmobile trails. This vast national forest—the largest in all of Montana—is home to grizzly bears, black bears, wolves, Canadian lynxes, mule deer, elk, pronghorns, and bighorn sheep.
The resort is about 36 minutes from Butte, where guests will find Bert Mooney Airport, and two hours from Bozeman, where the nearest international airport is located.

At these rivers, guests will find a full range of fishing conditions geared toward an equally full range of fishing methods. Guests can mix and match conditions and methods to fit their preferences and/or expand their skill set, creating a bespoke program in collaboration with their guides, with as much instruction as required or desired.
Guided fishing trips are also available on a day-trip basis. These trips include an expert guide, lunch, and flies.
Guests will enjoy breakfast and dinner at the main lodge's dining room, where a wall full of windows provide panoramic views of the Big Hole River and its surroundings. During their angling excursions, lunch will be served by their guides right at the site of the river on which they are fishing.
The resort can also provide guests with guided horseback riding, hiking, and nature tours. If interested in horseback riding, guests are advised to notify the host as far in advance as possible, as these tours can be difficult to book.
For self-guided activities, guests will find a variety of options in the surrounding Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest, which boasts 1,500 miles of hiking trails, 250 miles of groomed snowmobile trails, six maintained cross-country skiing trail areas, and an array of unplowed roads, trails, and backcountry terrain on which they can also go cross-country skiing, as well snowshoeing.
