With so many mountains, lakes, rivers, trails, and forested parklands in the region, guests will enjoy an abundance of recreation options both in the winter and in the warmer months. In the winter, guests can go snowmobiling on an array of trails in the region, with tours and rentals available through Jackson Hole Adventure Rentals, Old Faithful Snowmobile Tours, and a variety of other local companies.
For cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, guests will find dozens of trails at Bridger-Teton National Forest, with tours available from the Hole Hiking Experience and AJ Derosa's Winter Tours. For alpine skiing and snowboarding, guests can head to Snow King Mountain, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Grand Targhee Resort, and Kelly Canyon Ski Resort. Guests can also go on sleigh rides with Teton Wagon Train and Horse Adventure and dog sledding with Jackson Hole Iditarod Sled Dog Tours.
In the warmer months, guests can go hiking on over 2,000 miles of hiking trails in Bridger-Teton National Forest. They can go trout fishing on the Greys, Salt or Snake Rivers. On the latter, they can also go whitewater rafting and scenic river cruising, with trips available through Sands Whitewater and Scenic River Trips, Mad River Boat Trips, and Dave Hansen Whitewater and Scenic River Trips. Golfers can hit the links at Star Valley Ranch and Teton Pines, and ATV riders can explore hundreds of miles of trails and roads in the surrounding forests.
