Brookfield

Brookfield is a town located in Fairfield County, Connecticut in the southern foothills of the Berkshire Mountains. The region is stunning, with two large crystal-clear lakes, sparkling streams, lush forest, and picturesque farms and wineries around every turn. Head to the lovely Lake Lillinonah on the Housatonic River, which is ideal for swimming, fishing, boating, and picnicking. The Upper Paugussett State Forest is close by, which has numerous excellent hiking trails, and offers an excellent opportunity to get back to nature. Candlewood Lake is also nearby. Brookfield town itself is charming, with gorgeous gardens and nature observatories. Best of all, the fabulous city of New York a mere 90 minute drive!
