Whether glampers are looking for a relaxing escape or an activity filled vacation, this cabin rental is located in the perfect destination. In summer, the clear, pristine waters of the lake are perfect for swimming and there is the opportunity for many other recreational activities such as water skiing, canoeing, and kayaking. The lake is also excellent for fishing as the waters are populated by salmon, trout, whitefish, and bass.
The quiet gravel roads surrounding the lake are also perfect for hiking and biking, while in winter, glampers can enjoy cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and ice fishing in the area. Glampers should also head to the Baxter State Park for more hiking and climbing opportunities. Maine’s highest mountain, Mount Katahdin, is located within the park. A closer day jaunt would be Katahdin Iron Works and Gulf Hagus, often called the Grand Canyon of the East. Snowmobile and ATV trails are accessible from the cabin.
For a day trip away from the lake, glampers should head to Bangor where top attractions include Bangor City Forest, Penobscot River Walkway, and the Maine Discovery Museum.
