Handmade from local wood and handcrafted in New Hampshire. This is cozy in the winter and cool in the summer. Secluded off-grid home perfect for reconnecting with the natural world. The yurt has a spacious interior with over 300 sq ft, high ceilings, a wood-burning stove, games for evenings in, and access to beautiful trails for days out. If you've never stayed in a yurt give it a try! In wintertime, this is a one-mile hike up.

Located on Toad Hill, a remote 45 acre property surrounded by pristine forest in the heart of The White Mountains. There is lots to do and see in the area. Hike, bike, snowmobile or ski from the door to waterfalls, ponds, or just around the property in search of birds and wildlife. Take a day trip to Province or Mountain Pond for both swimming and fly fishing. Toad hill also hosts a summer music festival and has beautiful sculptures around the property. Perfect for people trying to get away from life and into nature!

Please note that there is no running water and limited solar power electricity in this accommodation. Bring a few items including sleeping bags or sheets, pillowcases, and blankets as well as food and utensils, cookware, flashlights, and water or a water purifier. The host asks that guests practice "leave no trace ethics" during their visit. There is an outhouse located near the barn. In the winter car access is limited and guests will have to hike to their accommodations.

Although the setting of this getaway is secluded and feels very remote, glampers will be just over 20 miles from the bustling town of North Conway, New Hampshire. There, guests will find an array of options for dining and shopping, multiple areas for winter sports, and an indoor water park. Other nearby points of interest within driving distance include the Story Land theme park, Diana's Baths, and Merriman State Forest. Whether glampers are seeking a peaceful getaway or an action-packed adventure, there is something close by for everyone to enjoy.

The area features hundreds of miles of fantastic multi-use trails for hiking and mountain biking that wind through the forest and lead to majestic waterfalls and scenic peaks. Adventurous glampers can go zip lining through the treetops or rent an ATV. For a more relaxing activity, guests can go fishing and swim at Mountain Pond or enjoy a scenic picnic in the woods.

During colder months, the area is transformed into an idyllic winter wonderland offering excellent conditions for snow sports and activities. Glampers will be close to numerous areas that provide downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, sledding, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing. For a break from the great outdoors, glampers can drive to North Conway. Smoking/candles are not permitted inside of ANY structure. Any refuse produced from smoking must be put in your trash.

Pets permitted with prior approval. Never leave pets unattended. Please do not bring pets that are unfriendly to other pets as there are other animals on the property.

Guests are asked to please take out all trash and recycle.

Firewood is available for an additional fee.

There is a $50 damage deposit hold placed on the guest's card. Guests will be charged if they fail to follow the rules regarding waste disposal (take home what they bring).
