This large bed and breakfast, with an authentic Japanese restaurant, is located in a rural area of Chester, Vermont, and can accommodate up to 24 guests. There are six bedrooms each with an ensuite bathroom. Some of the rooms are geared toward couples, while others are better suited for a small family. Each room has very comfortable full or queen-size beds with residential mattresses and cozy quilts to ensure guests get a great nights sleep. All rooms offer dresser storage and some type of seating for guests to curl up with a good book. The room arrangements are such that there are no common walls with the exception of one double built soundproof wall. Guests are assured peace and privacy during their stay. A beautiful, handmade spiral staircase is the first thing guests will see when they enter the house. Despite being almost 100 years old, it is still as solid and dependable as the day it was finished.

Guest can gather in the cozy common room to relax and watch TV or visit with others. During the winter months, guests will appreciate the non-stop warmth of the fireplace, the perfect place to warm up after a day on the slopes. Kids can be kept busy with a variety of games and puzzles. Other amenities include Wi-Fi and a washer and dryer.

Guests can spend time exploring the grounds which include two barns and a pond.

There are six rooms in the bed and breakfast that are perfect for couples or even some for a small family. The temperature is controlled with air conditioning and heating. There is also an indoor fireplace. Wi-fi is available for guests as well as TV. A common game room is stocked with games and puzzles. There are a washer and a dryer for guests convenience. Parking is available on site. There are barns and a small pond on the property. The on-site Japanese restaurant is where guests can go to enjoy an incredible meal.

Each day is started with a big country breakfast. Guests can choose from a traditional breakfast of farm fresh eggs, home fries, and bacon, ham or sausage or fill up with pancakes, french toast or waffles covered in locally made maple syrup with a side of bacon. Fresh fruits are also served. Special dietary needs are easily accommodated and vegan and vegetarian selections are available. After a busy day, guests can head to the Japanese Restaurant for dinner and enjoy some new twists on traditional Japanese appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Reservations are required and must be made before 5:00 pm. Customized menus can be prepared for celebrations and special events. Prices will vary.

From early spring to late fall, guests can enjoy an old-fashioned BBQ. Pulled pork and ribs are prepared in a real wood-fired smoker with a combination of South and Central Asian spices

Guided hiking packages can be added to a stay at the bed and breakfast. The package includes a two-day hike, photos throughout, two nights at the B and B as well as one five-course meal for two. The cost of the package is $549.

Fly casting packages are available. Classes are offered on the "odd" days of the month around the one-acre pond located on the property. There is a limit of three students and equipment is provided. The package includes dinner, one night at the bed and breakfast, and the casting lesson. The cost of the package is $279.00 per person. Guided Black River fly fishing adventures are also available.

This classic 1861 bed and breakfast is located in Vermont's Okemo Valley not far from the eastern seaboard, yet miles apart from the big city lifestyle. It is very accessible as it is just off the tourist routes midway between Chester, Ludlow, and Springfield, Vermont. The property is unique in that it is the only country inn in the region that offers traditional Japanese Cuisine. Okemo Valley is a year-round destination that is only a three-hour drive from Boston Airport and a four-hour drive from New York City Airport. Stay in the city and then head to the northeast corridor of Vermont to experience a whole different way of life.

Hiking, canoeing, kayaking or even hang gliding are all great choices for exploring and seeing the sights. Hit the course for a round of golf or find a lake and relax in solitude. Five minutes from the bed and breakfast is Fletcher Farm School. Here visitors can choose from nearly 100 workshops mostly pertaining to arts and crafts. The fall comes alive in the quaint villages with harvest and craft festivals abound. Enjoy the scenery as the forests and farmlands surrounding the villages turn the beautiful colors indicative of fall. Restaurants, cafes, and stores are nearby for dining and shopping pleasures.

A two-night minimum stay is required on weekends and holidays. There is no smoking allowed inside. Children
age seven and older are welcome.

Quiet hours are from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. There are limited accommodations for pets. Call in advance to make arrangements. Please note that there are dogs that live in the house.
