Glamping Haven with Stunning Views from this Charming Tree House in Hardwick, Vermont

Tree house in Hardwick, VT

Soak in the curated interior design while you relax in the living room space and gaze out the large, recycled windows (from an old, local schoolhouse).

You can cook simple meals on the propane camp stove (with a griddle option) or use the small charcoal grill in the space under the treehouse. There is a mini-fridge with a separate freezer to keep your fresh produce from the farmers' market and your yummy local beer nice and cool. There's a very primitive (and limited) water system you can use for washing dishes.

We also provide some basic condiments and cooking basics, like olive oil and salt and pepper. We also offer coffee, hot chocolate, and lemonade. Most of the products we offer for your use, and our cleaning supplies and paper products are from Public Goods, and you can get a 25% discount on your first purchase with the coupon code TREEHOUSEPGA.

There is a basic composting toilet in the treehouse for your convenience, but you also have access to a full, modern bathroom at the house, with a beautiful shower.

When it's time for bed, climb up the loft ladder to "The Nest" and sink into the comfy bed. Open up the windows to hear the nighttime sounds of the stream and the forest!

We prioritize our earth and take environmental considerations into every decision: we generate solar electricity; we compost and recycle; we use environmentally friendly cleaning products; we avoid disposable items as much as possible; and we use many local and recycled materials in the construction of the treehouse.

The interior structure is 10'x16' with a loft and the deck is 4'x16'.

You have exclusive access to the entire treehouse. The treehouse is about 200 feet from the driveway and house, yet it's very private in the woods. I have a garden cart you can use to transport your belongings to the treehouse. If you arrive early and the treehouse is not ready, you are welcome to leave your things on the porch at the house.

You must be physically able to climb stairs and ladders to stay here. The sleeping space is in a somewhat-tight loft, but the limited space has not been an issue for even our taller guests. We do not allow dogs (or any other pets) in the sleeping loft.

You also have access to internet and a shared bathroom at the main house.

Vermont is such a unique place! There are lots of seasonal activities available like maple syrup sugaring and pressing apples for cider. There is beautiful scenery like Caspian Lake and Nichols Ledge. Vermont boasts relatively extreme weather that tire chains can help with in the winter, and staying on top of the muddy ruts in the spring.

After your day of hiking, skiing, or touring local breweries and distilleries, come home to this beautiful, private tiny house in the trees! Enjoy the deck that overlooks the year-round stream (that may be frozen over in the winter) and let the sound of the water wash through you. You may even see some critters if you're still enough! There is a hanging bed and campfire space just below the treehouse right on the stream, with a dramatic view of the treehouse. And a hanging bed underneath!
