The accommodation is open to the elements with beautiful views but is screened in to keep mosquitoes and bugs out. The screens do not keep geckos out, but they are harmless. To avoid gecko droppings, the host puts a painting drop cloth over all beds to maintain cleanliness of bedding and towels until the guest's arrival. This is typically placed under the bed while guests are staying, allowing guests to cover the bed while they are out during the day.
Be kind to the environment and take care of the surroundings.

Downstream from here is the Akaka Falls Skyline Tour which offers a 7-line course with a birdseye view of the amazing forest and dramatic glimpses of the ocean. Glampers can enjoy spectacular views from the top of Mauna Kea Volcano, the tallest mountain in the world from sea level.
