This getaway cottage is located near Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii and can accommodate two guests. There is one comfortable bedroom and one full bathroom. The bedroom offers a lovely queen-size brass bed, while the bathroom has a toilet, a sink, and a shower. Linens and towels are provided.

In the living room, guests will find a television, two plush sofas, a charming old clock, and sliding glass doors leading to the balcony. There is a wooden dining table located just behind the living area. The fully-equipped kitchenette includes appliances such as a refrigerator, a coffee pot, a blender, a juicer, a microwave, a hot plate, and a convection toaster oven. Other amenities include Wi-Fi and a washer and dryer.

Outside, there is a spacious balcony with views of the Makea Stream, along with a private lanai. The cottage sits on a six-acre working farm, complete with a mini horse, over 20 tame goats, two barn cats, a very sweet dog, and an assortment of chickens. There is also an abundance of fruit orchards that guests can help themselves to.

Guests of this serene, quiet vacation rental will enjoy a satellite television and free Wi-Fi, as well as their own washer and dryer. A private, spacious balcony overlooks the Makea Stream, and guests can dine outdoors in the lovely lanai.

The rental sits on a six-acre working farm, complete with an assortment of friendly animals who love attention. There are lychee, mango, avocado, banana, and other fruit orchards that guests are welcome to take advantage of. The Makea Stream winds its way through the area, leading the way to waterfalls and swimming holes.

A charming back road will whisk guests to the small town of Honomu, which is full of artisan shops, restaurants, cafes, and other locally-owned spots to explore. For a bigger city, guests can make the 11-mile drive to Hilo, a coastal community that boasts amazing beaches. There, guests can go surfing, swimming, kayaking, beachcombing, windsurfing, jet skiing and so much more. Boat tours are a wonderful way to explore the ocean, along with scuba diving and snorkeling trips. Finally, guests should not leave the island without saying hello to Puff the Magic Dragon in the Honoli'i beach and surf spot.
