This off-the-grid and eco-friendly tree house is located in the rainforest in Volcano, Hawaii, and can accommodate two guests. There is one bedroom and one full bathroom. The bedroom has a perch-platform double bed and a semi-walk-in closet. The rental is elevated 15 feet above the ground but the bed is another five feet higher. In the bathroom, guests will find a handmade Koa wood washbasin, a toilet, a mirror, a vanity, toiletries, and a shower. Linens and towels are provided. Downstairs there is a lower deck/lanai. This lanai is surrounded by hanging plants and places to relax.

The downstairs lanai has a Balinese-style queen-size day bed. Other amenities include free parking, a laptop-friendly workspace, toiletries, hangers, and a USB charging station.

During the day, the center of the volcano appears as grey smoke. However, after dark, it will appear bright red, with lava jumping and spraying up. There are many aerial tours offered that take guests up in a helicopter and light aircraft and provide a beautiful view of the volcano, national parks, and picturesque coast. The Mauna Loa hiking trail offers three trails, two of which take more than a day, and they all start at 11,000 feet above sea level! They are not for the faint-hearted; hikers will be walking on solidified lava! Volcano has its own winery, which offers both tours and tasting. The Akatsuka Orchid Gardens is renowned for its beautiful range of orchids, gift shop, and knowledgable staff.
