There are two big cabins available at this luxury site: the Serenity cabin and the Morning Lite cabin. The Serenity cabin was given its name for the peace and quiet—and cool shade, great for summer—that the surrounding redwoods provide. They have a one-room, open floor plan concept and include a queen-sized bed, as well as a queen-sized sofa bed. The bathroom is located on the deck, featuring a luxurious clawfoot bathtub for taking long soaks while staring out into the redwood forest. Towels, linens, and bathrobes are included.

The Carmel tree house comes with a fully-equipped kitchen and dining table allow guests to cook all their own meals as if they were at home. High-tech heaters that look like real wood-burning fireplaces keep these cabins nice and cozy. Wi-Fi can be requested for glampers who don’t want to feel disconnected during their stay.

Many of our first-time inquiring guests ask about the privacy of our outdoor baths, and their use in inclement weather. Glamping in California can be enjoyed in true, authentic fashion.

This Redwood Forest cabin's outdoor baths on the cabin decks are the most highly popular features of our treehouse lodging. California. They are private, both from others inside the cabins being able to see other guests when they use the baths and from guests in the second cabin.

The only part of the Carmel cabins' baths that are covered from rain is the toilet, and for obvious reasons. Also, we live in a quite moderate climate, and even in the lowest temperatures we experience here, generally in the mid-40s, it can be quite invigorating to soak in the hot tub for long periods (both cabins have a separate hot water heater, so all the hot water one needs is available, as well as a bubble bath for ultimate enjoyment). The city of Carmel, whose full name is Carmel-by-the-Sea, has a rich history for Native Americans, Spaniards, and Americans alike, dating back to the mid-1500s. Carmel has a European feel to it and is full of charming streets with many art galleries, restaurants, boutiques, and more. Located along the coast and just 15 minutes from Big Sur, the Carmel Beach in Carmel is a top attraction no matter the time of year or occasion. The city is also extremely dog-friendly, which is great for glampers who choose to bring their beloved furry friends on vacation with them.

Weather here is not as characteristically hot as many people think when they think of California. In fact, the average yearly temperature is 57 degrees Fahrenheit, with the hottest months being the summer months, particularly August with an average high of approximately 71 degrees Fahrenheit.
