In the studio-style room, guests will find a queen-size sofa bed and an armchair set around a large flat-screen television and a gas fireplace surrounded by stones. If the traveling party includes a third guest, a camping cot can be provided as well. In the bathroom, guests will find a sink, a toilet, and a combination bathtub/shower.
The fully-equipped kitchen comes with an oven, a stove, a microwave, a toaster oven, a mini-refrigerator, and a coffeemaker. Other amenities include Wi-Fi, a Roku player with Netflix streaming service, a DVD player, gas wall heaters, games, camping chairs, and a hairdryer. The cabin is stocked with hand soap, dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, hand towels, linens, pillows, and blankets; guests will need to bring their own bath towels, bath soap, shampoo, and conditioner.
Outside, guests will find a private deck with seating and a gas barbecue grill, parking for two vehicles, and a common deck and front yard shared by the other two cabins on the property. Here, guests can swim, fish, boat, hike, and enjoy water sports to their heart's content. The lake is also a prime spot for birdwatching, with an abundance of birdlife calling it home for part or all of the year, including mountain chickadees, dark-eyed juncos, western bluebirds, and a variety of woodpeckers. In the alpine meadows through which the nearby hiking and biking trails wind their way, guests will also find a profusion of wildflowers, such as corn lilies and rein orchids.
The lake is set deep inside Sand Bernardino National Forest, which encompasses more than 800,000 acres of natural beauty. Exploring the national forest, guests will find a rich diversity of landscapes, geological features, and ecosystems, ranging from rugged mountains, semi-deserts, and hot springs to conifer forests, oak woodlands, and pinyon-juniper stands. These environments, in turn, provide habitats to an equally rich diversity of wildlife, including bighorn sheep, bald eagles, and peregrine falcons. Altogether, the forest is home to 71 threatened or endangered wildlife species and 85 sensitive plant species.
Other attractions in the area include Snow Valley Mountain Ski and Snowboard Resort, which is just 16 minutes to the southeast. In the small downtown area of Green Valley Lake, guests will find a market, two restaurants, and a bait and tackle shop. For more options, guests can head to nearby Running Springs and Arrowbear. While the lake feels a world away from the hustle and bustle of modern life, it is just 45 minutes from San Bernardino, where guests will find the nearest international airport.

At Green Valley Lake, guests can go swimming, fishing, row boating, pedal boating, kayaking, and canoeing, with watercraft rentals available right from the lake's recreation center. Around the lake, guests will also find courts where they can play volleyball, basketball, tennis, and badminton. In the small downtown area of Green Valley Lake, guests can shop, dine, and stock up on goods at a market, two restaurants, and a bait and tackle shop.
For hiking and mountain biking, guests can explore a variety of nearby trails, such as the Little Green Valley Trail, which winds through a wildflower-filled alpine meadow and provides breathtaking views of Snow Valley and Slide Peak. Here and around the lake, guests can also go birdwatching for a variety of bird species, such as mountain chickadees, dark-eyed juncos, western bluebirds, and a variety of woodpeckers.
Many more trails can be found throughout San Bernardino National Forest, where guests can go hiking, biking, horseback riding, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.
