Located in the mountains above Ashland, Oregon, this lovely, private cabin is a welcoming getaway for couples, families looking for a cabin in a natural setting, and writers or solos seeking an inspiring retreat.
Owl Creek Cabin sits on 5 forested acres surrounded by BLM land and near recreational areas with miles of trails including the Pacific Crest Trail, Buck Prairie Ski Park, and Lake of the Woods. Trails from the property lead into BLM land and Grizzly Campground.

With 12” of new snow, we have an average snow depth of 24” on March 3. Snowshoe or cross-country ski from the cabin or head up to Buck Prairie Ski park for groomed trails.

A scenic 20-minute drive will take you to Lake of the Woods where you can kayak, hike, and dine. Crater Lake National Park is a little over an hour away. A 40-minute drive will take you back to Ashland for shopping, dining, and OSF plays.

During the Winter (December through April), you'll need 4WD or AWD, or front-wheel drive with winter tires for the mountain roads at higher elevations, and to make it up the cabin driveway. All roads are plowed and rocked during the snowy season.

Satellite internet service is provided. The speed is good for basic use but not for streaming movies and games. Mobile phones connect through WiFi. The cabin is non-smoking. Children eight and up are welcome. An outdoor gas firepit is provided year-round. 
Guests will be greeted when they arrive and briefly introduced to some of the unique features in the cabin including attic stairs to the windowed sleeping loft. The coffee cart kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, Keurig, coffee maker, electric tea kettle, toaster oven, and microwave. Outside is a gas grill and a picnic table and on the deck is a bistro table for morning coffee.

Guest will still be greeted upon arrival and briefly introduced to the unique features in the cabin and surrounding area, including attic stairs to the windowed sleeping loft, and a Nature's Head composting toilet. The coffee cart kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, Keurig, coffee maker, electric tea kettle, toaster oven, and microwave. An outdoor gas grill with a skillet and saucepan allows grilling and limited cooking. A firepit is available year-round. Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are accessible from the cabin or nearby ski park trails.
The cabin is at 4600 feet. AWD or 4WD with winter tires are required to navigate mountain roads during the winter. (November - May)
