Grand Cabins With A View in the Eagle Cap Wilderness, Northeastern Oregon
"Immensely grateful for the reprieve from both city life and the busyness of my own brain. Wonderful company, conversation, food and experience. XOX"
These grand cabins are part of a completely off-grid property and located in the heart of the Eagle Cap Wilderness in Northeastern Oregon. Completely off-grid and eight and a half miles from the nearest road, the solar-powered lodge is accessible by a scenic hike, horseback ride or charter flight to its grass airstrip.
The lodge has two premium log cabins. The first cabin is a short walk from the main lodge and is set on its own secluded spot overlooking the Minam River. The cabin is equipped with a queen bed and other hand-crafted furnishings of native fir. French doors open onto a covered porch with Adirondack chairs.
The second cabin sleeps four and has two queen beds, including one in a loft accessible by ladder. The cabin boasts hand-crafted furnishings, a wagon-wheel chandelier, an exquisite bathroom complete with a sink carved from a boulder, and its own private deck with Adirondack chairs.
A few steps away, the main lodge offers a large bar and kitchen area where guests can enjoy specialty cocktails and meals grilled over a wood fire by an on-site chef. Much of the food comes from the lodge's own wilderness garden. The spacious indoor dining area is set around the stunning central fireplace. Gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows open onto the deck.
Amenities include massage, a wood-fired hot tub, and saunas near the river.
This state-of-the-art retreat sits on 126-acres of privately held land within the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. Guests can rejuvenate in the wood-fired hot-tub or the sauna, just meters from the river. The central wood-burning fireplace also heats the lodge and provides hot water for guests. There is a rustic bathhouse and all accommodation types are equipped with plush linen.
Glampers can enjoy American craft cooking from the on-site chef at the custom designed fire-pit. Meats from local ranches as well as greens, vegetables, and herbs from the private garden will keep guests well fed throughout their stay. Diners can also choose to eat in the lodge or on the deck under the stars.
At the wilderness bar, guests can enjoy signature cocktails and cold beer from Enterprise’s Terminal Gravity brewery. The bar has one of the best-stocked wine callers in the wilderness.
