In the summer, guests can hike and bike the countless nearby trails, such as those around Lake Padden and near Whatcom Falls Park, and admire the local wildlife before sitting down for a picnic lunch. For those who prefer water sports, there are fantastic fishing spots, as well as areas for canoeing, kayaking, and swimming. Fishing enthusiasts can make their way to Cain Lake in the early morning where they can try and reel in rainbow trout before heading to The Bellingham Railway Museum with the family.

In the winter, glampers can ski down the snowy slopes at Mount Baker or go cross-country skiing at the Salmon Ridge Sno-Park Area before heading home to sip on hot cocoa while warming up next to the blazing fire.
