Private WA island for secluded family getaway by the water
This glamping property is located on a tiny private island near Olympia, Washington, about 90 minutes from Seattle. The beachfront property can accommodate parties of one to eight. The cabin has an open floor plan with a downstairs open bedroom and an upstairs open loft. Some of the guests prefer more privacy and can add the annex for an additional $75 per night, plus tax —roughly $85 total. The annex is in a separate building, just across the yard. This is an excellent option for two couples or a family with grown children. To add the annex guests should simply inquire with the hosts once the reservation has been made and the hosts will update the rate.
The main cabin on this WA Island sleeps up to four glampers in two bedrooms. The downstairs open bedroom has a queen-size bed and the upstairs has two single beds in the open loft. There is one full bathroom with a shower and laundry facilities are available. Electric heating and a wood-burning stove are provided to keep guests comfortable. The dining and lounge spaces are perfect for socializing indoors, and the garden with a deck has plenty of outdoor furniture for relaxing, meals outside, and enjoying the view.
The annex will sleep an additional four guests with a queen-size bed in the upstairs master bedroom and a comfy sleeper sofa downstairs. There is a fully-equipped kitchenette with an induction hotplate and a large microwave but no stove. In addition, there is a bathroom with shower and laundry facilities. The lounge has an electric fireplace with a TV and a DVD player. Guests should note that the annex cannot be rented individually; it can only be rented as an extension of the cabin. Groups of five or more must add the annex since the main cabin will sleep only four guests.
Glampers will find two kayaks, two stand up paddleboards, a rowboat, and crab pots at their disposal in the cabin. On the back deck, there are a couple of nice chaise lounges, Adirondack chairs, and a Weber electric grill that is the perfect setting for an evening under the stars. The host supplies all towels, linens, soap and paper products.
Guests should keep in mind that there are no stores, restaurants, or medical services on the island.

This island is a great place to spend a glamping holiday. It is private and secluded, making it a great place to relax and feel away from it all. The water is very calm and an early morning paddle is a fantastic way to start the day. The water is fairly warm in the summer and excellent for swimming and floating.
The calm waters make for some of the best kayaking and paddle boarding guests will find anywhere. A leisurely walk along the sand or inland on the island is a great way to enjoy the lovely surroundings. There are outdoor basketball and pickleball courts, swings, and a play area, as well as a baseball field at the community center at the top of the island.
