Ashdown

Ashdown is a small place which lies close to the border that crosses into Texas. Though it mainly encompasses wide open, flat plains, it lies close by to some of the most peaceful natural scenery in the state. For daytime walks, head to Ashdown City Park, but for more challenging routes, stop by Millwood State Park. Here, you will also be able to catch sight of Millwood Lake, which is a hotspot for water-based sports and recreation. Fishing, boating, and bird-watching are popular pastimes here, and you can also relax on the shores of the lake to recuperate after a long day exploring.
