Surrounded by lush greenery and stunning views, this cozy 1-bedroom, 1-loft, 1-bath cabin offers a serene outdoor space for ultimate relaxation. Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, enjoy hiking, boating, swimming, and extensive trails. Family-friendly and pet-friendly, it’s ideal for couples and families. Woodsy touches and sweet beagle faces decorate this charming space. Codex the beagle, a beloved family member of the builder and owner, is the namesake for this unique pup-inspired oasis. With all the darling dog decor, visitors might come away craving a beagle puppy! The tongue and groove pine, thick cypress beams, and abundant windows create a pleasant setting.

The Cabin has an open living room, including a sofa that opens into a queen-size sleeper with a memory foam mattress, a side table with a reading lamp, an electric fireplace for chilly evenings, and a Smart TV for snuggling up and watching a movie. Guests are welcome to play one of the many board games provided. Visitors can sit on the rustic pine swivel stools and dine at the large kitchen counter that looks into the kitchen.

In the kitchen, guests will find all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay and easy meal prep; a full-size fridge with ice maker, a dishwasher and large stainless sink for quick cleanup, two burner stove, a toaster oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, all necessary kitchen utensils and cookware and even a full range of spices and seasonings. The kitchen is thoughtfully equipped with all the essential conveniences of soap, sponges, foil, coffee filters, oil, coffee, and sugar, so you can arrive with just your groceries and spend your time having fun instead of provisioning.

Remote workers can keep in touch as needed with convenient high-speed internet.

The primary bedroom is on the main level with a queen-sized bed, hanging closet, and ceiling fan. Upstairs is the fun loft area that peeks over the living room and will delight little ones. It provides sleeping spaces for up to four with a trundle bed and two additional floor mattresses. It is a comfortable space with a wall unit for heating and cooling and windows for ventilation and light.

The full bathroom is a smart use of space with a small vanity sink and mirror, a corner shower with a glass door, and a window for additional light. Guests will have plenty of towels and essentials like soap, shampoo and conditioner.

The entire space provides thermostat-controlled mini-split heating and cooling to ensure a comfortable stay. A ceiling fan in the living room circulates air throughout.

Step through the front door onto the oversized covered front porch for an elevated view of the surrounding woodlands. The outdoor ceiling fan will move the air and keep bugs at bay while you enjoy a meal at the alfresco dining table. Guests can stream their favorite music via a multimedia center by connecting with Bluetooth and broadcasting to speakers in the bedroom, living room and covered deck. Just steps away are a firepit, charcoal BBQ, and picnic table to enjoy s'mores over an evening campfire. There is even a fenced dog pen for your pet. During their stay, guests will have plenty of parking space for trucks, trailers, or ORVs.
Professionally I'm a chiropractor but I'm also a U.S. Army veteran having served both in an enlisted & officer capacity. My wife and I own many dogs, most of which are rescues.

Although I grew up in the city and in the country, I'm country at heart. My favorite activities include motorcycling, backpacking, hiking, and camping.

My goal as a host is for my guests to have a 5-star + experience by exceeding their expectations.

My motto: "Live simply, Dream big, Be grateful, Give love, Laugh lots!"
The property is conveniently located within walking distance of Lake Greeson but not too far from Murfreesboro or the Crater of Diamonds State Park. The covered deck provides a great spot to hang out, visit with friends or family or just enjoy soaking up the sounds of the woods.
The cabin is a one-of-a-kind, unique park model cabin built by me, a general contractor friend and a crew. It is Beagle themed and named after our Beagle boy, Codex, whom we bred in 2013 along with his 3 brothers. Past guests have raved about its design and how cute it is. It will comfortably sleep 4 to 6 people but is set up to sleep up to 8. While 8 guests are a tight fit, it allows a larger family or group of friends to stay together at a very affordable rate, especially when compared to the cost of multiple hotel rooms.
The Codex cabin is located on 3.5 forested acres within a short walking distance of Lake Greeson. The property is 2 miles from the Lake Greeson dam, 9 miles from Murfreesboro and 11.7 miles from the Crater of Diamonds State Park.
