No matter what season, guests who stay here can enjoy days on end of activity. In the spring, take on water rafting, hiking natural wonders or quiet afternoons along Cumberland Lake. Head to the Daniel Boone National Forest and explore Cave Run Lake, enjoy the stillness of the Laurel River Lake or rent a boat at Buckhorn Lake. Those heading into Somerset can visit the Carnegie Community Arts Center, take the kids to the town waterpark, Somersplash, and shop at the Paradise Flea Market.
In the fall, this area comes alive with boaters. Be sure to catch the Poker Run, which occurs on the second weekend in September and is known to be one of the biggest boat races in the Midwest. In the summer, fishing on Cumberland Lake is highly popular. Guests here can fish right off the dock or head to Lake Cumberland State Resort Park and General Burnside State Park.
