Campers at Bogue Chitto state park can enjoy many recreational activities on the river and within the park. For water lovers, there is a canoe and tubing launch into the Bogue Chitto River, fishing piers and a water playground, The 1786-acre park also features 11 lakes stocked with freshwater fish. For landlubbers, there are more than 7 miles (11 km) of nature trails and 14 miles (23 km) of equestrian trails. Sign-up online for a guided horse trail ride departing from the stables. Mountain bikers can explore 14 miles of singletrack trails (3 blue, 4 green, and 1 freestyle jump line black trail). Bogue Chitto is also home to a beautiful, moderately difficult 9-hole disc golf course, winding through hilly wooded terrain
The park features a rolling landscape and includes cypress-tupelo swamps, and both hardwood and upland forests. The park also has picnic pavilions, and a lodge overlooking a 90-foot bluff.
Site B is a partially shaded campsite located in the upland RV area in the middle west of the park; it is perfectly situated to easily access all things the park offers and is approximately 1 mile from the park entrance. It features a spacious 10 x 12 platform tent with a queen bed as well as a pop-up tent that can accommodate 4 additional campers. A picnic table, firepit and two Adirondack chairs are also included.
