Boat, fish and swim at this campsite in NE Mississippi. J.P. Coleman Park overlooks the Tennessee River and is adjacent to Pickwick Lake. Great weekend getaway for residents of Tupelo, Birmingham and Memphis.

Perched on a rocky bluff overlooking the Tennessee River, J.P. Coleman State Park offers the finest in all types of water sports. It is located off Hwy 25, 70 miles northeast of Tupelo. Campers can boat, fish, and waterski on the adjacent 47,500-acre (19,200 ha) Pickwick Lake. The park also features a swimming pool and miniature golf course making it a great camping option for families.

Peninsula D is located approximately 1.5 miles from the park entrance. it is a wooded, shady drive-up campsite. This double campsite is great for families, two couples or a group of friends as it can accommodate up to 12 campers. There are two safari platform tents, each with a queen bed and 2 pop-up tents which can accommodate up to 8 additional campers. Picnic tables, 2 firepits and four Adirondack chairs are also included. Campers will have access to modern bathhouses for showers and restroom facilities.

- Pack your own food, water, firewood, bedding, bug spray and flashlights
- There is no electricity, AC, or heater at your Tentrr site, pack accordingly
- Anything you pack in, you must pack out. This is "leave no trace" camping and all sites will be inspected for cleanliness and damages before the next camper
- All trash MUST be deposited in the designated trash receptacle that is labeled on the map.Please notes : If you do not follow this rule, you will be charged a cleaning fee of at least $50
- Pets are allowed. Please keep all pets on leashes(we recommend 6 ft), and DO NOT let your pets near or swim in any bodies of water.
- Please remember to respect and keep your distance from our wildlife in the park. Feeding any wildlife is prohibited. Be aware and watch all surrounding areas when going off trail.
