About this place
This campsite is located approximately 1 mile from the park entrance. You will be parking your car on land nearby with a hike-in distance of approximately 150 feet.
It is a partially-shaded woodland campsite with a view of Shadow Lake. Your campsite features a 10 x 12 platform tent with a queen bed as well as a pop-up tent that can accommodate 4 additional campers. A picnic table, firepit and two Adirondack chairs are also included. Campers will have access to modern bathhouses for showers and restroom facilities. And, if the temperature dips, you can keep warm with the propane heater inside the main platform tent.
The Space:
Located between Meridian and Jackson, Mississippi, this picturesque state park offers an abundance of recreational opportunities for campers.
Other Things to Note:
Check-in is at 3 pm. Beds in the canvas tents have memory foam mattresses but be sure to bring your own bedding, food, and firewood. The pop-up tent comes packed. No running water at this site but a 5-gallon water jug is provided. Anything you pack in, you must pack out. Trash must be thrown away in the designated dumpster at the end of your stay. All sites are inspected for damages and cleanliness after each use and before the next renter. Failure to follow these guidelines can result in a minimum cleaning fee of $50. A Mississippi fishing license is required for all people between the ages of 16 and 65. A license may be purchased at the park office for a nominal fee. A boat launch is located at the southeast end of the lake. A nominal fee is required for use of the boat launch.
