There are five bedrooms that feature two queen-size beds, one with a king-size bed, one with a set of twin beds, and one with a twin bed on a converted porch. There are three bathrooms: one full bathroom with a sink, a toilet, and a shower and two half bathrooms with a toilet and sink. One outside shower is available from spring to fall. Linens and towels are provided.
In the living room, guests will find a plush wraparound sofa, a massage chair, a 62-inch flat-screen television with DirecTV, and a collection of books and movies. Sewanee, Tennessee, is home to the University of the South and attracts visitors year-round with plenty to see, do, and experience in the surrounding area. For the nature enthusiasts, the University perimeter trail provides 20 miles of trails for hiking or biking and is steps from the cottage door. The Mountain Goat Trail connects Sewanee and the town of Monteagle. There are several other incredible hiking areas to explore on the Cumberland Plateau-FIery Gizzard Trail, the Stone Door, and Foster Falls.
For photo opportunities, glampers can head to Sewanee Natural Bridge, Greens View, or Morgans Steep where they snap a few happy pictures of the stunning natural beauty of the area. Chattanooga is about an hour away and is set along the Tennessee River in the Appalachian Mountains and offers waterfalls, hiking trails with scenic views points, and Civil War battle sites, sure to be the perfect day trip.
In the opposite direction, Murfreesboro is ideal for the history buffs and is popular for its American Civil War history. Here, glampers can visit the Stones River National Battlefield or hike the trails at Barfield Crescent Park.
