Bridgeport

In 1860, an important bridge was built across the west fork of the Trinity River, thus igniting the town of Bridgeport, Texas into existence. Coal was found in 1882, spurring further population and industry growth. The climate here is humid subtropical, meaning summers are extremely hot and humid and winters are mild to cool.
