La Grange

Situated between Houston and Austin, La Grange, Texas is a medium sized town lying along the Colorado River. It’s easily accessible for those living in the city and needing a weekend escape, and for visitors flying in from out of state there are two international airports to choose from. The town was platted in 1837, then received a major wave of German immigrants, and is now home to many historic properties. The climate here is humid subtropical, meaning the summers are extremely hot and humid. To cool off, head to The Colorado River to go rafting, kayaking, swimming, or sit along the shore and relax.
