Mason

Located in the center of the state, Mason, Texas is an agricultural community situated on the Edwards Plateau. The settlement grew up around Fort Mason, which was established to protect against natives in the area. A unique local tidbit - the largest gem quality topaz was found in the area and is on display in the Museum on the Square.
