Founded in 1908, Mission, Texas is located at the very southern tip of Texas. It lies along the Rio Grande bordering Mexico. It lies just west of the Gulf of Mexico in close proximity to South Padre Island. The South Padre Island Dolphin & Sealife Research Center offers boat tours and tanks to see these beautiful creatures.
