La Casa de Joy is our beautiful 1-bed, 2-bath waterfront luxury home on Lake Travis. This home has been featured on HGTV’s Straw with Style, Designing Texas, and was the cover feature for Natural Home Magazine. This stunning work of art is the tallest straw bale home in Texas, and architecturally unique with hand-painted tiles & gemstones hand placed into the flooring. It is designed to sleep two, however, bedding may be added to sleep four. This home is perfect for a romantic getaway, honeymoon, private retreat, or to rent as the main house for your event/retreat.

At the front entrance, you are met with a beautiful view of the entire property, garden, & a koi pond. Walk through the soaring entryway into the downstairs main living area with a cornerstone fireplace, sunken level lounge, & fully equipped chef’s kitchen. Upstairs you’ll find a stunning large open master bedroom with queen size bed, study, master bath with dual-sided fireplace (take a bath by the fire!), and a spiral staircase leading up to the 3rd-floor meditation room & viewing tower. Open the back door to an inviting large-covered porch with a fireplace, hot tub, swing, and gorgeous views of the lake and sunset. “La Casa de Joy” was originally built by an artist & healer J. Long and her creativity & energy can be felt throughout the entire property.
