Romantic and Unique Geo Dome Perfect for Stargazing and a Weekend of Exploring Terlingua Ghost Town

Dome in Terlingua, TX

4 guests • 1 bedroom • 1 bed • 2 bathrooms

Sleep under the Milky Way in a hard-shell geodesic dome at the foot of our 100-foot volcanic hill in Terlingua, Texas, 11 minutes from Big Bend National Park. This is a private desert escape with panoramic dome windows, a string-lit patio and your own fire pit, in one of the darkest skies in the country.

INSIDE YOUR POD
• Memory-foam queen bed with a plush comforter and warm blankets
• Panoramic dome windows: stargaze straight from bed, or pull the curtains for privacy
• Air conditioning and heating
• Mini-fridge and prep corner
• Nebula lasers and an astronaut galaxy projector that light up the whole ceiling
• Neon alien art, disco ball and a hex-frame dome ceiling (it photographs well)
• Starlink Wi-Fi that works inside the pod · electrical outlets throughout
• Children welcome

OUTSIDE YOUR DOOR
• Private string-lit patio and deck with sweeping Big Bend and mountain views
• Your own rocket-themed stone fire pit
• Hanging moon chair, hammock chairs and shaded swing seats
• Shared grilling areas and a charcoal grill
• Lit pathways after dark · desert trails from your door with meteor rocks and hidden Easter eggs

BATHROOMS (PLEASE READ)
There is no bathroom inside the pod. Shared bathhouses are a short 2-minute walk (100–400 feet), with hot showers, indoor bathrooms at the top of the hill and outdoor ones at the bottom. We provide a towel, shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

LOCATION
On TX-118 in Terlingua: 11 minutes to Big Bend National Park, 5 minutes to Terlingua Ghost Town for restaurants, shops, mines, art, grocery and gas. Use Google Maps (Apple Maps gets lost out here). We're in an International Dark Sky area, so try to arrive before sunset on your first night and bring a flashlight.

WATER
Our well water is non-potable, so bring drinking water or grab some in town. Water is precious in the desert, so please keep showers short.
