Glampers can fish the French Broad, cook the catch over on the open fire pit grill, experience an outdoor rain-fed shower, and watch the fireflies light up the mountainside. They can also catch some rays on the private, riverfront beach or just relax in the porch hammock. Spend evenings by the campfire toasting s'mores and listening to the wildlife serenade. Guests can also save some time for an interesting delve into history with a day trip to visit the Biltmore Estate, Grove Arcade, historic downtown Asheville, and the Vance Birthplace.
Guests can go for a drive on the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway and have lunch on top of Mount Pisgah. Whether looking for a casual stroll or to hike the Appalachian Trail, the Asheville area offers endless hiking opportunities. If looking for a real adventure, there are several companies up the road in Marshall and Hot Springs (Madison, County) offering guided whitewater rafting. For those glampers bringing their bikes, Old Marshall Highway, also known as North Carolina Highway 251, is a historic level road for bikers which follows the river. Sandy Bottom Trails, under a half hour drive away, offers incredible horseback riding trails through gorgeous mountain acres.
