This secluded cabin in the woods surrounded by waterfalls near Highlands, North Carolina, is both private and luxurious, with every room full of unique furniture and colorful art pieces. With its rich hardwood floors, cowhide throw rugs and distressed lacquer armoires, every piece of furniture in the house appears as though they belong in a magazine for interior design. The living room, kitchen, and bedrooms are flooded with light from the tall windows looking out on the yard, which is full of deep green hemlock trees and stoic maples.

The vaulted ceilings supported by thick wooden beams make the cabin feel even more spacious, an atmosphere which extends into the comfortable bedrooms as well. The king-sized and queen-sized beds come with memory foam mattresses and ornate bed frames, made with thick blankets and decorated pillows to make the rooms both aesthetic and relaxing. Outside, the enclosed wooden porch sits on an elevated foundation, where guests can lounge in comfort behind the beautifully constructed wooden porch rails. The entire cabin is rustic yet elegant, and guests will enjoy spending time inside the house just as much as in the surrounding nature of the Highlands.

This finely decorated cottage accommodates four guests, with two large bedrooms, two full baths with standing showers and bathtubs, and a half bath downstairs. The airy living room has a long sofa, arm chairs, wooden chairs, and a flat-screen television all surrounding a large stone fireplace. The television has cable and satellite access, and internet is provided. In the open-air dining room, the large wooden table seats six guests, with a small side bar set up against the back wall. Linens, towels, and board games in the living room are also provided.

The kitchen comes fully stocked, with marble countertops, a 5-burner Wolf Range stove, pots, pans, and cookbooks for guests to use during their stay. The cabin also has a large enclosed deck with rocking chairs, a gas grill, and firewood, all of which overlooks the grassy fenced-in lawn and maple and pine trees in the yard. The gravel parking lot also fits two cars.
