This family-friendly cottage rental is located just across the street from the Atlantic Ocean in Holden Beach, North Carolina. The cottage is surrounded by quiet, scenic marshes and is only an hour away from Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. With four bedrooms and two bathrooms, it can accommodate up to eight guests.

Couples can sleep on a double bed in the first two bedrooms or a king-size bed in the third bedroom. All three bedrooms feature a flat-screen TV with a dresser and a closet, while the third bedroom has a sitting area plus private access to the back deck. Kids can sleep on two twin-size beds in the fourth bedroom, which includes a regular TV and a dresser. Both bathrooms contain a toilet, a vanity, and a combined shower and bathtub. Soft luxury linens are provided but towels are not.

After a long day of swimming in the ocean or rafting down the Shallotte River, families can curl up on the sofa in the living room and watch a DVD on the flat-screen TV. The fully-equipped kitchen comes with a fridge, a stove and oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, and a toaster. Dishes and cooking utensils are provided. In the mornings, guests can brew a cup of coffee with the coffeemaker or make a fruit smoothie with the blender. The dining table can comfortably seat up to six guests and there is additional seating at the breakfast bar.

For guests' convenience, there is a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer. There is also a desk with a computer and a high-speed Internet connection, where guests can catch up on any work emails or business projects during their stay. A highchair is provided for families with babies or toddlers. Other amenities include heating and air conditioning, Wi-Fi, cable and satellite, ceiling fans, a stereo, and a telephone.

Outside, families can relax on the nice patio furniture and enjoy the lovely views of the Atlantic Ocean or the coastal marshes from either the covered porch, screened porch, or open deck. Guests can rinse off the salt and brine in the enclosed outdoor shower on the deck, equipped with both hot and cold water. They can cook dinner on the charcoal BBQ grill and eat meals around the picnic table in the covered parking space beneath the cottage. In the evenings, couples can stand out on the balcony with a glass of wine and watch the sunset over the ocean. Guests will have easy access to the beach across the street.

The cottage features a covered porch, a screened porch, an open deck, and a balcony. The deck includes an outdoor shower with both hot and cold water, as well as a charcoal BBQ grill. Free parking is available in the driveway or in a large, covered space beneath the cottage. There is a picnic table in the covered space.

Inside, guests will have access to free Wi-Fi. All of the TVs are equipped with cable and satellite. There is a fully-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar and a dining table that can seat up to six guests. Guests are free to use the washing machine and dryer in the laundry room.
