Guests will have a vast range of activities to enjoy during their stay, beginning with a visit to the nearby Tryon International Equestrian Center, which is just nine miles away and holds events including non-equine holiday festivals, concerts, and Sunday brunches. This year the FEI World Equestrian Games will be taking place in the center over an exciting 13 days, filled with the competition disciplines, as well as equestrian-focused demonstrations and exhibitions.
For those who love wine, the property is just a 10-minute drive from the Parker-Binns vineyard and local produce is available next door at Morlino Family Farm, where in-season fresh eggs, honey, and seasonal produce are available. The Estates of Asheville and Biltmore are approximately 50 miles away.
The more adventurous guests can take a day trip to Saluda and zip line at The Gorge or enjoy boating at Lake Lure. Lake Lure is in the Hickory Nut Gorge, which is home to the famous Chimney Rock and hosts the famous Dirty Dancing Film Festival. The Lake has been featured in many films, including the aforementioned Dirty Dancing, Forrest Gump, and Last of the Mohicans.
There are multiple hiking trails for all skill levels nearby, all of which guarantee a rewarding view at the finish line. There are three local waterfalls in the area, Pearson’s Falls, Big Bradley Falls, and Little Bradley Falls. The local equestrian center offers many classes and hosts the highly esteemed World Equestrian Games. Whether competing or spectating, all are welcome, and the center also holds other events including holiday festivals, concerts, and Sunday brunches.
