This property is at 3,600 feet elevation, high enough to escape the summertime heat and humidity of the "Low Country" below. Surrounded by the beauty of the Appalachian trail and the Nantahala National Forest, this glamping property offers activities for guests the whole year round. Plenty of hiking, cycling and climbing routes weave the landscape in an intricate pattern, and the nearby Nantahala Lake provides opportunities for water sports including boating, swimming, and fishing. Fly fishermen can enjoy the world-class trout fishing in the Nantahala River. Winter visitors can enjoy downhill skiing at the Cataloochee Ski Area (one and a half hours north), near Maggie Valley. A climb of Clingman's Dome in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and a day trip to the Biltmore Estate near Asheville make for great memories. Excursions to the Asheville and Highlands, NC and Atlanta or Charlotte will take glampers through cultural, shopping, and dining experiences.
