Fripp Island

One of the Sea Islands of South Carolina’s Lowcountry, Fripp Island is covered in oak and pines, many of which are draped in the Spanish Moss typical of the region, and is a firm favorite of nature lovers thanks to fauna that ranges from armadillos to loggerhead turtles. As if this were not enough in itself, it is only 20 miles by road to historic Beaufort, the second oldest city in the state after Charleston, making this a great location to combine nature with the manmade history of the region. Beaufort is a popular destination thanks to its varied historic architecture, some of which dates back to colonial times, and which includes examples from all eras of US history. A stunning oceanside setting, interesting local cuisine, history, and nature combined-escape to the Lowcountry this vacation for a glamping getaway you will never forget.
