Secluded Tree House Rental with a Sleeping Loft near Lake Jocassee in South Carolina





This secluded tree house rental tucked in the trees has a sleeping loft and is located near Lake Jocassee in South Carolina. It is perfect for a romantic getaway for two. The tree house is accessed via a spectacular wood spiral staircase. Guests will sleep comfortably in the queen-size bed situated in the loft. Tall ceilings and a window offer a bright open feel and a ceiling fan will provide added comfort. The loft is accessed by a natural log ladder.
The main living space of the tree house features a stylish leather sofa, a TV, and a live edge breakfast bar for two with a great view. For glampers convenience, there is a mini-fridge, a single gas burner, a kettle, a French press, and disposable dinnerware and utensils. French doors from the tree house lead out to the lovely deck with patio furniture. The doors can be kept open to bring in the fresh air and sunlight as well as to extend the living space.
There is a separate bathhouse situated 50 feet from the tree house which has two full bathrooms, each with a toilet and a shower. There is also a washer dryer glampers are welcome to use.
Outside, glampers will have the use of a four-burner gas grill and a firepit. The BBQ can be used for dinner and the campfire is perfect for a tasty dessert!
This tree house comes equipped with air-conditioning and a ceiling fan to keep the climate comfortable on hot days. All bedding, towels, and toiletries are provided and there is parking available on the property. Head to Lake Jocassee boat rentals for some fun on the water nearby!

This quiet retreat makes an ideal base for exploring the beautiful 9,000 acre Lake Jocassee and the surrounding area. The lake is situated in the Blue Ridge Mountains and its waters remain clear and cool all year long due to the many rivers that flow into it. There are a number of waterfalls that tumble into the river, many ideal for cliff jumping.
Glampers can easily access the water with a short walk and a longer hike will lead to Devil's Fork State Park just one mile away. Devils Fork State Park is part of the Sumter National Forest and sits on the shores of Lake Jocassee. The park can be accessed via the Cherokee Scenic Highway. There are several small towns surrounding Salem, many only five to 10 minutes by car. There are few restaurants nearby should glampers wish to enjoy a nice meal out.

A short walk up the trail leads to fishing and just down the road, there is lake access for boating. A hike up the hill leads to the lake where glampers can cool off with a dip amidst the gorgeous views of the mountains.
Glampers can head to Devil's Fork State Park on foot or by car to hike the trails and explore the endless waterfalls. The park is the only public access point to Lake Jocassee. Guided tours, boat rentals, kayaking and canoeing get visitors out on the water while swimming and scuba diving get them into the water. The lake makes for excellent fishing, offering trout and smallmouth bass. Eclectic Sun is the go-to spot within the park to rent any gear and supplies needed to make the most of a day at the lake.
Sumter National Forest offers diverse terrain and trails perfect for walking, hiking, and mountain biking. The forest is home to an abundance of wildlife and birds, so visitors should be on the lookout. Paddling and fishing in the Chattooga River, horseback riding, ATVing, and dirt biking are all activities to be found somewhere in this massive forest. -
