Discover the Ruby Mountains when you go skiing in Nevada

This remote, eco-friendly yurt is the perfect spot for a skiing or hiking adventure. Set in the heart of the Ruby Mountains, Nevada, glampers can look forward to opening their front door and being directly on a hiking trail or skiing route. With space for four guests in the yurt, there are also two insulated weather ports that can accommodate up to three further guests in each.

Both the yurt and the accompanying weather ports have electricity and power outlets that are run by Goal Zero solar power. The yurt comes with a propane stove with dual burners for cooking, as well as all necessary cookware and tableware. There is a propane fireplace that heats the yurt.

This rental gives its guests a unique opportunity to really escape back into nature, leaving the stresses and the strains of city life behind them. With the beauty of the mountains surrounding them, and the chance to take part in some incredible outdoor activities, it will truly be the adventure of a lifetime.

The yurt is run by Goal Zero solar power.

There is free parking available at the base ranch.

There are two additional, fully-insulated weather port structures next to the yurt, which each can sleep up to three people.

Guides will have all the equipment that the group will need, including a navigation kit, first aid kit, rescue kit, satellite phone, and a two-way radio.

Guests choosing to walk in during the summer months can expect a 2-4 hour moderate hike from our parking area at 7,000 feet.

Alpine touring guests in the winter will meet at our lodge for orientation before being transported to the yurt via snowcat or helicopter. Bookings during the winter months are part of an alpine touring package at a different cost. Please contact the hosts before booking to discuss details.

The yurt is fully furnished to cater to guests. It comfortably sleeps four people, and there are two additional fully insulated weather port structures adjacent to the yurt, which can each sleep three people.

The yurt and weather ports are powered by Goal Zero solar power offering solar lights and power outlets. It yurt is well-stocked with a camp chef propane duel burner stove for cooking, and cooking and kitchen gear. A propane fireplace heats the yurt.

All areas inside and outside the yurt, and acres of private property in the Ruby Mountains.

For guests first stay at the high yurt, on the day of your check-in, the hosts will take guests to the yurt for a mandatory orientation (additional $75.00) on the area and how things work.

Exceptional catering packages available. All food is prepared, seasoned, vacuum-sealed and placed in a cooler for arrival. All guests have to do is heat up the food using the grill or propane burner stove tops. Only items not pre-cooked is the meat - that will be seasoned and vacuum-sealed, ready to cook.

Guests are responsible for bringing their own bedding (pillows and blankets) and food, unless paying for a catering package.

The rental is made for those looking for adventure. During the winter, it lends itself perfectly to skiers. Glampers can strap on their skis and head straight out and carve their way through the snow. With guided packages on offer, glampers can opt to use the experience of the hosts to find the best routes. There is even the chance to increase the adrenaline fueled fun of this destination with heli-skiing. Glampers can pay an added fee and get helicoptered to some great spots to ski.

When summer comes and the snow melts away, the fun and excitement don't stop. This is the ideal location for hiking enthusiasts to strap on their boots and to explore the stunning mountainous region. With stunning areas of natural beauty, such as Lamoille Canyon, as well as the mountains, glampers will love exploring this remote area. This location can also serve as the perfect base camp for hunters. Anyone who books the yurt has hunting access to over 120 acres of private property in the Rubies. Hunters must have a tag for area 10.

At 9,700ft elevation, the High Yurt is located on the top of Conrad Creek Ridge in the Ruby Mountains. The scenery and beauty of Conrad and Talbot Creek is overwhelming. Hiking in the summer starts right out the door and skiing in the winter begins as soon as guests clip into their skis.
