Nestled in between the Sangre de Cristo mountain range, Taos Ski Valley, and Carson National Forest, this property is conveniently situated between the desert, mountains, and forests. The property is located in the small town of Aroyo Seco and is at the base of the Taos Ski Valley. Just to the south of the property lies the Carson National Forest which is famous for its cliffs, forests, and wildlife.
The town of just to the south of the property is called Taos and offers a great traditional southwest feel along with great shopping, restaurants, and small city life. It is filled with many historical homes of artists, as well as traditional architecture and customs. Outside of Taos lies the ancient Taos Pueblo, which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a great tourist attraction. The property is easily accessible from route 150, off of the major roadways of 64 and 522.

Downhill skiing and snowboarding are the most popular winter sports, but guests can also rent snowmobiles or cross-country ski. The warmer weather months allow for more mobility around the surrounding areas, so guests can also explore the Ski Valley without snow, or they can venture to other surrounding mountain peaks, explore nearby rivers, or visit Carson National Forest to the south. Hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, mountain climbing, and camping are popular in these areas. There are great hiking trails in Carson National Forest, and the mountains offer great terrain for mountain biking and horseback riding.
