About this place
The yurt is 20 ft in diameter, comfortable and situated in the middle of a glade of evergreens and aspen trees on a trail that welcomes cross-country skiers and snowshoers in winter, and hikers and mountain bikers in the other seasons. Dogs are also welcome year-round. This is good news for guests who want to bring their furry friends along in winter!

Guests must supply their own bedding and sleeping bags. In summer, sleeping bags rated for 30 degrees are recommended.
Guests will want to pack lightly, as they have to hike to the yurt.
In summer guests can either hike or bike to property.
In winter guests have to ski or snowshoe to property and purchase a trail pass, which can be purchased in the Base Lodge upon arrival. Depending on your fitness level, It is a 1.25-mile moderate hike (or bike). The host provides a wagon (bed dimensions measure 36-inches by 20-inches) for your gear (at around 9,800 feet, a heavy load can make the hike more strenuous) or you can pay $50 for gear delivery (includes drop-off and pick-up).
The hosts can drive guests´ gear out to yurt via a 4x4 side-by-side for an extra $50 (snowmobile in winter). Gear delivery needs to be arranged ahead of time. Guests can call or email host once the booking is confirmed.

Adults: $26 per day

The proximity of Carson National Forest, the Rio Grande, the Red River Ski and Summer Area, and the Enchanted Forest make this Red River accommodation a year-round destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Guests can step out of the yurt and take off on a hiking adventure into the Enchanted Forest. or they can try a horseback riding tour through the Sangre de Cristo Mountains with Red River Stables. Fishing is also a popular activity.
Guests can go downhill skiing, snowshoeing, snowboarding, tubing, and cross-country skiing at Carson National Forest, Enchanted Forest Ski Area, and Red River Ski and Summer Area. Snowshoes and gear can be rented from Sitzmark Sports. The Wild Rivers section of the beautiful and rugged Rio Grande del Norte National Monument is about 45 minutes away from this yurt. Glamping in New Mexico is sure to leave guests refreshed and revitalized.
