About this place

This fabulous New Mexico yurt is ideal for an off-grid getaway in Red River. Accommodation here means guests will have some pristine areas of natural wilderness to explore during the day and as night falls, the unique New Mexico vacation rental comes with three double beds and two singles sleeping up to eight guests. Glampers must provide their own sleeping bag (at least 30º or colder rating recommended), pillows, and food.

The hosts provide several other handy amenities to ensure a great stay in New Mexico including a toasty woodstove and basic cooking facilities. Guests should remember that it is a .69-mile hike (or bike) to the yurt (no driving) and there is no running water, electricity, or maid service.

In summer guests can either hike or bike to property.
In winter guests have to ski or snowshoe to property and purchase a trail pass, which can be purchased in the Base Lodge upon arrival. Depending on your fitness level, It is a 1.25-mile moderate hike (or bike). The host provides a wagon (bed dimensions measure 36-inches by 20-inches) for your gear (at around 9,800 feet, a heavy load can make the hike more strenuous) or you can pay $50 for gear delivery (includes drop-off and pick-up).

The proximity of Carson National Forest, the Rio Grande, the Red River Ski and Summer Area, and the Enchanted Forest make this Red River accommodation a year-round destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Places to stay in New Mexico don't come more conveniently located for outdoor enthusiasts and the mountain pass known as Bobcat Pass is located along the Enchanted Circle Scenic Byway. It's popular with mountain bikers, as is the Red River Nature Trail. Snowshoes and gear can be rented from Sitzmark Sports. The Wild Rivers section of the beautiful and rugged Rio Grande del Norte National Monument is about 45 minutes away from this yurt.
